Adoption Story

UPDATE (06-29-18):
After nearly two years of inactivity on our adoption blog (see link below), I am finally getting caught up and posting some content. Feel free to stop by there and/or refer that site to others going through the adoption process or dealing with a failed adoption. My hope is that people will find hope, encouragement and support.

My wife and I “officially” started our adoption story on June 28, 2012 with our first home study visit.  Our story actually started earlier than that with conversations, prayer, adoption agency research and paper work.

We experienced a number of ups and downs which included two failed adoptions. Both were heartbreaking but they brought us closer to God for we knew there was a child out there, somewhere for us.  And sure enough, on Friday April 26, 2013 we met that little girl ~ Mayah.  We have been incredibly blessed to have this energetic, fun-loving, daddy’s girl in our lives.

And then on Saturday, November 1, 2014 our family grew with the addition of our son ~ Malachi. Now a family of four, we are charting new territory and thus giving this pastor even more sermon illustrations 🙂

Life of a father, husband AND pastor never ceases to be exciting as God continues to teach me and stretch me. What an amazing journey and praise be to God.

Below are some links to the adoption posts I have published here:

As always…thanks for stopping by and God bless 🙂
